While we should all realize it’s strictly a business decision, it still hurts. It would have been appreciated if they told us what their “viewer requirements” are. I, for one, would like to know if I fit their viewing parameters and just who determines what those parameters are. I realize the Nielsen (sp?) ratings are still considered but with people using different recording devices to watch one program and record another, how can they possibly rely on what would appear to be an outdated way of measuring a program’s success? You an extrapolate numbers from a audience sample but most epidemiologists know that a small sample contains many factors that have to be filtered out and even then the results can be affected by unknown factors. It’s just so frustrating.
Hopefully all our emails and calls to FX, SciFi, TNT, USA, CW (???) will encourage one of them to pick BT up!

This makes me so angry. Why do they even bother with any of the good shows? They take all the shows off that are good and keep putting on such crap. This show was one of the best ones on the air and they choose to take it off? Whats up with that and what’s up with the requirements? What are they? They need to let us viewers know what they are or freaking let us vote for the shows that should be aired because we are the ones that watch them. We are the ones that pay for cable to watch them, that spend our time not missing the episodes, and rave about the shows to other people, we are the ones that buy any and all items that have the shows things on them, etc. etc. Why can’t we choose our own shows? I’m so tired of getting attached to great shows and networks taking them away! Please some network pick up bloodties! We want more of this great show! Now I’m a moonlight fan too, but bloodties was first and has always been the best! I always watched my episodes of blood ties right away and I rewatch them constantly. You just cant top this show. Please someone bring it back!!!

You can get the DVDs from Amazon UK but they are in Region 2 PAL format – need a multiregion or region free DVD player – a Mac can switch to Region 2 and read them — but the MacBook has a 4-5 change limit and it then kills your drive – nice touch guys!
I am currently battling this – all the episodes are in the set (I also have Region 2 Midsomer Murders so I real motivated to solve this!)

I am tried of this sh***! Every show I like gets cancelled. I was dying to know what happened between henry and vicky. I am never watching LT again. This is the second show in the past year that I liked that was cancelled by them. I really hope scifi picks them up.

You know if the show would have been at a different time it would have gotten better rateings. You do not put a show like Blood Ties on a Sunday night at 10:00pm
What were they thinking????

Figures. Finally a show that doesn’t involve “normal” crime scene investigating or hot sexually frustrated doctors and they go and cancel it. Hopefully there’s still a chance that another American broadcasting company will help Canada to pick it up for more seasons once the recession passes. Oh, and for anyone in Canada who wants to view the eps online at mylifetime.com, download ‘hotspot shield’. That way you’ll be able to access US live streaming.

I am so sick of you TV companies. Everytime i find a great programme you cancel it!!!! What the hell was the point of those final episodes?all they did was make me furious you might at least have given it a proper closure. This was one of the best programmes i have watched but i wont be watching anymore of yours.

why couldnt lifetime make a movie to end the show. i mean the crap they put on their channel the washed up stars in the same “my daughter was raped or kidnapped of some other stupid scenario” Who really wants to watch that stuff. I actually thought lifetime was changing to fit the real world by making interesting shows with good actors but now i know it is all kirstie alley, grant show and tracy pollen from here on out.

Exactly what is the point of repeating this show? You cancelled it left us with one of the worst endings i have ever seen.

I didn’t know about the show when it was on air. it was only until 2 weeks ago about 2 years after it was canceled that I learned about it. I watched both seaons and absolutly fell in love with the show. I have been watching vampire movies and shows since I was a child and I think that Blood Ties was a better show than most I’ve seen. I wish I knew about it when it was on air and I wish they could bring it back. So much has evolved with vampire attention within the last few years that I think with the right amount of advertisment I think it would be a success. Also i think that having the show on lifetime was the biggest pitfall of the show. Most men don’t like lifetime and Men pick on other men for watching lifetime. Alot of men actually enjoy vampire shows and movies and this show was only directed twards a female audiance with being aired on lifetime and I personally think it is a show in which both sexes would enjoy. I just ask to please bring Henry back
