Blood Ties Mention in ‘Ask Amber’ at TVGuide.ca

May 26, 2008

Ask Amber: Housewives, Blood Ties & the strike
by Amber Dowling

Here is the Blood Ties question and answer…

I would like to know if Blood Ties has been renewed or cancelled? If renewed when can we expect to see new episodes? – Chris

Amber: I’m always amazed at how many people write in about this show. It’s probably because there’s so much confusion surrounding it: In Canada we got a 22-episode season, but in the States, Lifetime split into two seasons with the last two episodes only offered online, thanks to poor ratings. So now that there’s no U.S. backing, the show had to shut down in Canada. From what I can gather, there has been no official word either way about a renewal or cancellation here: the sets are still ready to use, the actors are willing to come back and some broadcasters have expressed an interest… but that’s where the hope ends. Lifetime has said they won’t be renewing it, despite the online petitions.

That’s all for this week!

Fall season is coming up! What’s coming back? What’s new? Heard about a pilot and want more info? As always, email me your questions anytime: amber@tvguide.ca
